Just give me some fries!
by Christine Miller
For some reason, McDonald's has become my hangover food. So I was driving there one morning (or afternoon) to get my usual chicken nugget meal. I had a headache, and didn't really want to even be outside, thinking that this would be a quick trip. After waiting in line in the drive-thru for 20 minutes, I finally get up to the window where I'm supposed to get my bag of food. The girl working there looks at me and says, "Didn't I just see you?". I gave her a confused look and said no. She finally gave me my food, lacking the drink that was supposed to come with the meal. I informed her of this and she went to get the drink. Suspicious as I always am of fast-food places I checked the food in the bag to make sure I got what I asked for, only to look down and see a hamburger of some sort. When the girl came back, I told her it wasn't my food, and that I had ordered nuggets. After checking the screen in front of her three or four times, she said "oh" and got me a new bag. I checked again, finding nuggets...but no fries. Once again I had to inform her of what was included in a meal at the restaurant where she was currently working. So I finally got my fries, drink, and nuggets all together in the amount of time that I could've made my own at home. I know McDonald's isn't exactly the place where Harvard graduates work, but how hard is it to give me what I ordered?
