My stress relief depends on my mood

by Anu

I work hard and at the end of a long day, I look forward to relaxing.

How I do this really depends on my mood.

Sometimes I want nothing more than to sit alone, without interruption or noise, and simply relax. I don't want to be interrupted or bothered until I am good and ready to get up.

At other times, I relax by taking a bubble bath. I get the water nice and hot, light some candles, put on some music, and soak away all of my worries and all of my stress.

One the the other things I like to do to relieve stress is to cook. Throwing all of my thoughts into putting together a meal really helps me to relax.

I can do something I love, for myself, exactly how I want to do it. Finally, I also like to spend time with my dog - playing, going for a walk, hugging. Being around her makes me really happy no matter what mood I am in, which helps to relieve my stresses. She is always in such a good mood and loves me no matter once. Knowing she is so excited to see me when I get home always brightens me and puts a smile on my face.

If all also fails, napping or going to sleep early seems to be a good stress reliever for me. It is the chance to rejuvenate and relax; there's nothing like waking up fresh to face the new day.
