One of my biggest peeves is ...

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people drag their feet when they walk. Your legs are not that heavy. Please pick up your feet and walk like you are intending to be somewhere.

Another thing that drives me crazy is lack of awareness of surroundings. If you are in a public location, please be sure you take into consideration all that is going on around you. Do not stop in a doorway with high traffic or where there are people behind you to talk to a friend. Don't stand in line for something if you are not prepared to make an order or a purchase. Always think about whether there will be people around you when you are doing something, so that you do not inconvenience others simply by not having your mind made up about where you are walking to.

One other thing that irritates myself, as I’m sure it does others, would be when drivers fail to signal. Your blinker is there for a reason, and in such a convenient location, it takes nothing more than a slight flick or your wrist to turn it on; you don’t even have to turn it off yourself: it’s automatic! This would greatly decrease the number of fender benders, as well as reduce the level of road rage some may experience over inconsiderate drivers.

I think these are general rules that people can agree with, and although some things may have been a bit of a rant, I feel that others will benefit from these changes. Try to be conscious of them as you go about your day from now on.
