Parents

The week usually starts off pretty good. I attend church on Sunday and make sure that I am ready for the rest of the week. Once the week starts, school becomes my main objective.
I must say, I work really hard. I maintain straight A's and participate in many extracurricular activities. When I am not doing things affiliated with my school, I am usually at the church helping with something. I am always busy, and I try do the rigth thing. It really stresses me out when my parents get on me for little stuff. If I get one B on a quiz, they act like I went out and got drunk with some wild friends. If I don't do the dishes, they want to get all mad at me and ground me. I WORK MY BUTT OF TRYING TO MAINTAIN GOOD GRADES AND STAYING ACTIVE IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
How about trying to thank me and congratulate me on the things that I do the next time you feel the need to yell at me. At least I am not on the street selling drugs and skipping school. I mean, I am the one working hard so that college will not be such a burden on them. They need to realize what they are doing. I am about to get out of the house and live on my own, I think that you can treat me a little better than this. I shouldn't feel this way; it only causes stress to me and messes up my flow. Be thankful for the many things that I do right instead of criticizing the little things that I do wrong. I am doing my part as a student, now parents must do their part also. I would greatly appreciate it. That would also encourage me to do better in the long run.
