Symbols of Gratitude

symbols of gratitude - flowers thank you

There are hundreds of ways to say thank you and to express gratitude. And symbols of gratitude are these expressions of thanks.

Gratitude itself has the power to transform your and someone else's life. Make sure you are expressing gratitude to others. How can you show gratitude?

Depending on the person and the occasion, you may choose different symbols of gratitude.

  • Flowers.
  • Thank you notes.
  • Gratitude gift baskets.
  • A box of chocolates.
  • A helping hand.

If you want to express gratitude to someone close to you, someone who you know well, you can choose something more personal.

  • You can write a short poem for the person.
  • You can make a hand made card or a small hand made gift (if you like crafts).
  • You can do something for the person that will help them - you can baby sit, repair something, help with a computer problem, anything that might save the person time, money, and trouble.
  • You can also simply ask the person: "I feel so grateful to you for....., is there something I can do for you?"
  • You can also buy a gift that you know the person will really like.

When you decide to buy a gift, make sure you buy something for the other person, not something that you like for yourself. People often make a mistake of buying something that they like.

You have to think what the other person will like. Not what you like. Putting thought and care into choosing a gift, shows appreciation and gratitude. That's one of the symbols of gratitude. The thought that you have put into choosing a gift.
